Vacated MHADA building collapses in Byculla; no injuries reported

MUMBAI: A partially vacated MHADA building located behind the Madanpura Post Office in Byculla West collapsed in the early hours of Monday. The incident, reported by the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), occurred at around 2:02 am on August 4.According to preliminary reports, the rear portions of the first and third floors of the G+3 structure—classified as a C1 category (dilapidated) building—had collapsed on Sunday. The structure had already been vacated by MHADA staff prior to the incident. By Monday morning, the entire building had collapsed, though no injuries have been reported.
