The trailer of the season 2 of Marvel Animation’s X-Men ‘97 was unveiled by the makers on May 27, 2026. The new season is set to continue the story from where it left off in the earlier season, marking a return of the mutant superheroes.
After the events that unfolded at the end of the season 1, the mutant superheroes get scattered across time as Magneto, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Xavier and Beast are transported back to ancient Egypt in 3000 BC. The threat of the supervillian Apocalypse looms large as the trailer gives a brief glimpse of En Sabah Nur coming together with the tribe recruting the future supervillian, the Sandstormers. Further, the new season shows Cyclops and Jean Grey reuniting with their young son in the future, promising a thrilling return of the mutant superheros getting ready for massive action.
The voice cast for the new season features Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Rogue, Ross Marquand as Professor X and Matthew Waterson as Magneto, Ray Chase as Cyclops, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm and Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey.
X-Men ‘97 continues the story from the classic 90’s series, X-Men: The Animated Series, which ran from 1992-1997 for five seasons.
X-Men ‘97 season 2 is set to be released on Disney+ on July 1.
