Karthi’s Tamil-Telugu bilingual, co-starring Meenakshi Chaudhary, goes on floors

Tamil actor Karthi’s upcoming film, co-starring Meenakshi Chaudhary, went on floors today with a pooja ceremony. Tentatively called Karthi 30, the film is directed by Kalyan Sundar (of Mad and Mad Square fame) and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments.

A Tamil-Telugu bilingual, the film’s shoot is underway after a pooja ceremony.

Other details regarding the crew and rest of the cast of the film remain under wraps as of now.

Kalyan Shankar is best known for helming the series Nenu Mee Kalyan and the films Madand Mad Square. The director has also co-written films such as Tillu Square and the anthology web series Navarasa.

Notably, Karthi is awaiting the release of his much-anticipated sequel film, Sardar 2. He is also working on Marshal, his upcoming film with Taanakkaran director Tamizh. The actor is also expected to headline the fourth instalment of the acclaimed Telugu franchise HIT, in a character that was teased at the end of HIT: The Third Case.
