However, the driver falsely claimed that no fuel had been filled and forced the attendant to refill petrol worth Rs 500.The fuel station attendant, Raju Dikhale (53) of Hadapsar, lodged a complaint with the Cantonment police station on Tuesday.Senior Inspector Santosh Khetmalas of Cantonment police told TOI, “The car driver initially asked the attendant to fill petrol worth Rs 500, but his fuel gauge did not show much change. Typically, a car’s fuel gauge does not move significantly when fuel worth Rs 500 is added. The driver claimed that the gauge had not moved and began abusing and threatening the attendant.”“He got down from the car and forced the attendant to refill petrol worth Rs 500. Later, the driver recorded a video of the fuel station on his mobile phone and falsely alleged that the station was cheating motorists,” he said.
