Pune: Shivajinagar police have registered a case of outraging the modesty of a woman against the director of a capital market investment company and three other officials, after a female employee reported harassment last week.The FIR was initially registered at a police station in Mumbai and was later transferred to Shivajinagar police station on Friday for further investigation.According to the police, the alleged incidents occurred between May 2024 and April 8 this year.The complainant, a 33-year-old resident of Mumbai, alleged that the director and other officials of the company repeatedly touched her inappropriately at the company’s office in Shivajinagar. She said she reported the harassment to a woman officer within the company, but no action was taken. Subsequently, the company transferred her to Dubai against her wishes.“The complainant has alleged that the accused also threatened to ruin her career if she complained about the incidents to the police or others,” senior inspector Girish Dighavkar of the Shivajinagar police said.“We have called the complainant to Pune to record her statement in detail,” he added.
