24 Songs Festival to draw new audiences to indie music

On April 12, at Sabha BLR, a new kind of music festival will take place — where a lineup of 24 artists will get only one song each. The 24 Songs Festival, organised by BLR Groove Co and founded by Shubhay Joshua, is nudging attendees to discover independent music in a different way.

From folk singer-songwriters like Vasu Dixit and seasoned rappers such as Gubbi and Kata, to rising artistes like Tarang Joseph, Aanchal Bordoloi, Anami, Saroj Kashyap and Papabear, the lineup has well known names. Sonically, there is diversity with violinist Prerna V, singer-songwriter Praveen Bhat, ukulele ace Natauku, Tulu artist Praveen Alva, a Malayalam singer and producer combo of Jai Matt and Pina Colada Blues and more.
