‘Raaka’: Allu Arjun-Atlee movie gets a title; first look out

The makers of the upcoming Allu Arjun-Atlee film have revealed the title of the project. To be produced by Sun Pictures, the pan-Indian movie, originally shot in Telugu, has been titled Raaka.

The ambitious project was announced exactly a year ago. The makers released an interestig video, which showed Atlee and Allu Arjun travelling to Lola VFX company. The actor-director was seen interacting with technicians at Ironhead Studio (costume and creature design), Spectral Motion, ILM Technoprops and Legacy Effects on April 08, 2025. Raaka is touted to be a sci-fi high on VFX.

Deepika Padukone plays the female lead in the movie. According to reports, Rashmika Mandanna, who was the co-star of Allu Arjun in the blockbuster Pushpa films, is also set to play a pivotal role in Raaka. The movie was tentatively titled AA22XA6.

The title-reveal poster is a close-up of the face of Allu Arjun’s character. With a shaved head and scars across the scalp, the poster presents the rugged look of the character. With a thick, wild beard, the character has a warrior-like appearance, with the large tusk near his cheek offering a tribal design.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun has signed a project with another hit Tamil filmmaker. He will play the lead in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next, to be backed again by Sun Pictures. Tentatively titled AA23, the movie will have music from Anirudh Ravichander.
