Pune: A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed and two others were injured after a collision between two motorcycles on the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass near Balewadi in the early hours of Saturday.The Bavdhan police identified the deceased as Harshvardhan Sunil Yadav, a native of Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. The complainant, Harshvardhan Usnale (25), a delivery executive from Bhosari, sustained injuries in the accident.According to police sub-inspector Sarang Thakare, “The incident occurred around 1.30am near Balewadi Stadium when both vehicles were heading towards Hinjewadi. Yadav’s motorcycle allegedly rammed into the rear of Usnale’s bike, causing all three riders to fall and suffer serious injuries.”The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared Yadav dead on arrival. Police said Yadav was pursuing his studies at a private college. Further investigation into the accident is underway.
