Mumbai: A 72-year-old pedestrian died last Saturday while under treatment at Sion Hospital a week after being knocked down by a biker. An FIR has been lodged against the biker, Shubam Nachare, for causing death due to negligence. Police said Shripati Ramchandra Kadam was crossing the road at a traffic signal in Ghatkopar on June 14 when Nachare hit him with his bike, leaving him critically injured. The biker and some passersby rushed him to Rajawadi Hospital, from where he was later sent to Sion Hospital. tnn
