New Delhi: A 45-year-old man died after he was allegedly assaulted by his son and wife in central Delhi’s Paharganj on Friday. His son has been arrested. The deceased has been identified as Vinod, a resident of Aram Bagh, Paharganj. According to police, they received the information about the incident on Friday. The cops immediately rushed to the spot, where Vinod was identified through local inquiry. “A witness said that he saw Vinod being assaulted in a nearby park by his son. It was seen that his son was pushing him and striking him with stones on his head and chest,” a senior police officer said. Police further added that Vinod had gone to a local clinic and got treatment before contacting his sister and informing her of the situation. He later on succumbed to his injuries.The accused was identified as Bhanu Pratap, and a case was registered under the charges of murder (Section 103) of BNS at Paharganj police station. He revealed during interrogation that he had regular arguments with his father, however on this particular day, he had assaulted his father due to sudden provocation which resulted in his death.
