New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has removed four terror accused doctors from the Indian and National Medical Registers after an FIR was registered against them under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).The doctors — Dr Muzzafar Ahmad, Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather, and Dr Muzamil Shakeel (registered with the Jammu & Kashmir Medical Council) and Dr Shaheen Shahid (registered with the Uttar Pradesh Medical Council) — were allegedly found involved in the Red Fort blast case, the NMC said.Following cancellation of their registrations by the respective state councils, the NMC ordered immediate removal of their names from the national registers. The doctors, who are in police custody, are barred from practising medicine or holding any medical appointment till further orders, the order stated. TNN
