3 held for stabbing incident in school

New Delhi: A 23-year-old man has been critically injured after being stabbed in a govt school in east Delhi’s Trilokpuri. Police have arrested three people and said personal enmity was behind the attack. Police were informed by a hospital on Sept 13 about the admission of Rohit alias Chintu, a resident of Trilokpuri, with multiple stab wounds. He was referred to another hospital.Deputy commissioner of police (east) Abhishek Dhania said that around 7.30pm, Rohit was sitting inside the school with his friends Shivam and another boy. “Four people scaled the boundary wall, hurled abuses at the group and attacked them. While Shivam and the other boy managed to escape, the assailants surrounded Rohit and stabbed him,” Dhania said.The accused have been identified as Rajeev (19), Vijay (27) and Akash (27). The fourth accused is absconding.The motive was traced to a quarrel that occurred the previous day between the victim and Nihal, Rajeev’s brother. Rajeev confessed to stabbing Rohit to avenge the dispute, police said, adding that Vijay and Akash have also confessed. The knife was found in the bushes near the Mayur Vihar Extension flyover.tnn
