New Delhi: Two men, who posed as cybercrime officers and robbed a man of Rs 5 lakh, were arrested by a police patrol at ITO on Wednesday.According to police, the patrol team noticed a commotion near a black car. Upon inquiry, the complainant and his friends alleged they were threatened at knifepoint and robbed by men impersonating cybercrime officers.The complainant said he had been in contact with a woman since April, who introduced him to cryptocurrency trading. On the day of the incident, she arranged a meeting with three men to assist with a transaction. The suspects lured the victims into a car on the pretext of counting cash, then allegedly pulled out a knife, stole Rs 5 lakh, and demanded another Rs 20 lakh, threatening to implicate them in a fake cybercrime case.The victim raised an alarm, drawing police attention.DCP (east) Abhishek Dhania said two accused — Imtiyaz Ali (48) and Ranjeet Kumar (25) — were arrested while the third associate fled. Police recovered Rs 3 lakh. An FIR has been registered. TNN
