New Delhi: A 17-year-old boy was shot at by three boys while he was returning home with his mother in northwest Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar on Monday. They were attempting to board an auto for Jahangirpuri when the three boys approached and fired multiple rounds, resulting in the boy sustaining two gunshot injuries. Police are investigating whether the shooting was related to a past altercation in which the boy and his friends assaulted a person over a petty issue. No arrests have been made yet.Police received information at 10.14 PM regarding the incident. Upon arrival at the hospital, the cops found the boy suffering from two gunshot wounds—one to the neck and another below the abdomen. He was unable to give a statement. His mother told the cops that the family lives in MCD Colony, and her husband works in a private company. The boy studies in Class IX.She identified the attackers as residents of Jahangirpuri. Based on her statement, a case of attempted murder was registered.
